Paradigms

I’ve always appreciated the simplicity of chaos theory.

No matter how tumultuous situations appear, there is always a return to baseline in some way… some balancing of the scales.

Despite the perceived pandemonium, the seemingly random occurrences, a pattern emerges. It’s at this moment of clarity where the paradigm shift can occur.

It begs the question however, if this chaos is governed by deterministic laws, the very deterministic laws that govern the natural world, do we have free will or are we beholden to a fate we have no recollection of signing up for?

I suppose that’s part of the treasure hunt - what it means to live an embodied experience. Only to exist as a paradox.

Maybe that’s where the magic lives, in the chaos… the liminal spaces.

The Hardest Button to Unbutton

Value, what we deem worthy, is entirely subjective. And yet, social contracts written millennia before us still dictate the rules.

Billions of complex individuals, each with intricate perspectives, are flattened into tropes. Labeled. Boxed in. All because of an insatiable need to control the external world.

We do this to ourselves, too.

These self-limiting beliefs weren’t born with us. They were taught.

And so, the weight of our own contempt often eclipses anything another could place upon our shoulders. But ask yourself this

Whose voice is it?

The passing stranger at a stoplight? A parent? A teacher?

We crave authenticity as a society, yet we punish those who dare to claim it. We trap ourselves in a cycle of self-loathing, aching to be seen as we truly are.

But then, a moment comes when you realize the validation you’ve been chasing has been within you all along.

You hold value simply by existing.Full stop.
